Index of Economic Freedom
The Index of Economic Freedom was first formulated by Adam Smith in 1776. The idea is to track the economic freedom of the world measuring liberty, property rights, business freedom, prosperity, trade, fiscal, monetary & economic freedom and so forth using 10 references.
